March 3 – 5 (Friday – Sunday): 50th Annual Camellia International Folk Dance Festival.  Sponsored by Sacramento International Folk Dance and Arts Council and California State University at Sacramento.  CSUS Student Union Ballroom, 6000 J Street, Sacramento.  March 3rd, 7:30 – 10:30 P.M. International Dance party with live music by Chubritza. Admission is $7.00.  March 4th, 1:00 –5:00 P.M. March 31 (Friday): International Roma Day Celebration at the Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco, at 7:30 P.M.  Rumen Shopov will be performing for dancing with special guests Chris Bajmakovic (accordion) and Petar Vodenov (clarinet). Also performing will be Edessa, Anoush, and the Brass Menagerie. There will be a 16 min documentary film "Not a refugee" about the Kosovo Roma. Usually 1 "beginner" level dance and one "intermediate/advanced".  A group of anywhere from 5-15 goes out to a nearby eatery afterwards until 11:00 PM.
