March 3 – 5 (Friday – Sunday): 50th Annual Camellia International Folk Dance Festival. Sponsored by Sacramento International Folk Dance and Arts Council and California State University at Sacramento. Celebration at the Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany,
San Francisco, at 7:30 P.M. Rumen Shopov
will be performing for dancing with special guests Chris Bajmakovic (accordion)
and Petar Vodenov (clarinet). Also performing will be Edessa,
Anoush,
and the Brass Menagerie. There will be a 16 min documentary film "Not a
refugee" about the Kosovo Roma. Romani art, handcrafts, and food will be
available for purchase. Admission is $15.00.
