March 10 (Saturday): The Bulgarian Macedonian American Society invites you to attend their Martenska Vecherinka at the Ramada Inn, 245 So. Airport Blvd, South San Francisco. There will be a no-host bar at 6:30, sit-down dinner at 7:30 and dancing to live music from 9:00 to 11:30 P.M. Dinner and dancing is $9.00 and reservations must be made prior to March 5. March 15 (Thursday): Valya Balkanska, internationally renowned singer from the Rhodope Mountains of Bulgaria, accompanied by Petur Yanov on the Rhodope Gaida will perform traditional Bulgarian songs at Lake Merritt United Methodist Church, 133o Lakeshore Blvd. (near downtown Oakland Grand Ave. exit from 580, right on Lakeshore), Oakland.
