April 3 (Wednesday): Start of College of Marin Community Education International Folk Dance Class, taught by Carol Friedman, at PE #60 on the Kentfield Campus from 2:10 to 3:30 P.M. Dances from Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Macedonia, Serbia and Armenia will be taught. Cost is $66.00 for the six-week session (with $15.00 annual Emeritus College dues). April 5 (Friday): Stanford Folk Dancers sponsors a Bulgarian Village Dance with all music live by Balkanton 340 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 1095 Cloud Avenue, Menlo Park from 7:30 to 10:00 P.M. Please use the parking lot behind the Church off Ivy Avenue instead of parking on the street. Admission is $12.00 and students are half Price and Children are Free. April 5 (Friday): Richard Powers will teach The DDR Line Dance, Steampunk Swith Waltz and Take Five: Waltz and Swing in 5/4 time and an Anime and game music party and Richard will DJ waltz and polka dancing at First United Methodist Church, upstairs, Fellowship Hall, 625 Hamilton Avenue, Palo Alto with the classes starting at 7:15 P.M. and the dancing is from 9:00 P.M. to Midnight. Admission is $12.00 for both classes and the dance, $10.00 for the dance only and $10.00 for students. NOTE CHANGE IN PRICES AND TIME. No partner necessary. All ages welcome. April 6 (Saturday): A benefit dance concert to Doctors Without Borders' mission in Yemen: Jubilee Klezmer Ensemble play Klezmer, Yiddish, Sephardic, Israeli music, with dance instructor Bruce Bierman and vocalist Larry Klass at First Presbyterian Church, 939 - B Street, Petaluma at 7:00 P.M. April 6 (Saturday): Petaluma Folk Dance Party with live music by Staro Vino, hosted by Snap-Y Dancers at Hermann Sons Hall, 860 Western Avenue Petaluma from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. For more information click or call Carol Friedman at (415) 663-9512.

April 6 (Saturday): Dance for Yemen, a benefit for Doctors Without Borders, featuring Jubilee Klezmer Ensemble playing Israeli, Klezmer and Yemeni music and Bruce Bierman leading the dances at First Presbyterian Church, 939 B Street, Petaluma from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. April 13 (Saturday): Yannis Konstantinou will teach a Greek dance workshop, followed by a catered Mediterranean dinner, and an evening Glendi with Edessa at the Albany Community Center, 1247 Marin Avenue, Albany with the workshop from 1:30 to 5:30 P.M. and the Glendi from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M. Admission is $45.00 for the wokshop, $15.00 for the party or $55.00 for both. The catered dinner is $18.00 per person. April 13 (Saturday): Peninsula Folk Dance Club host a Russian dance workshop by Tatyana Teodorovich and Marina Nikiforov, followed by an all-request dance party, emceed by Lesley Bone and Hollis Radin, at the Garden House in Shoup Park, 400 University Avenue, Los Altos with the workshop from 7:00 to 7:30 P.M. and the dance party from 7:30 to 10:30 P.M. April 27 (Saturday): Cabrillo Folk Dancers celebrate 50 years of dancing at Live Oak Grange, 1900 - 17th Avenue, Santa Cruz with a potluck at 5:00 P.M. and dancing with music by Mosaic and Balkanton 340 from 6:00 to 10:00 P.M. Bring snacks to share and tips for the band.

April 28 (Sunday): Blossom International Folk Dance Festival at City College of San Francisco, Wellness Center, 3rd Floor, Studio 301, 50 Frida Kalhlo Way (Fromerly Phelan Avenue), San Francisco with a Federation Meeting (assembly) at 10:30 P.M., Dances for all Ages (Beginners) from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. and General Dancing from 1:30 to 5:00 P.M. April 28 (Sunday): 19th Annual San Francisco Festival of the Mandolins at the Croatian American Cultural Center, 60 Onondaga, at Alemany, San Francisco with a Bring Your Own Mandolin Orchestra jam at Noon and the Concert from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M.
